Plant care
Magical hydrangeas are cultivated with care by our growers. They therefore deserve the very best care when you have them in your home. Below are some plant-care tips to enable you to enjoy the full, colourful splendour of your Magical hydrangea:
Flowers
The hydrangea house plants perform magic with colours. They bloom at least five months and change colour. You will never tire of looking at them.
Location in the house
Magical hydrangeas prefer places that are not too dark. If you place a hydrangea in an area with plenty of light, it will reward you with a magnificent display of changing colours.
Water
- Magical hydrangeas like moist soil. You should therefore regularly check the soil to make sure it is not too dry. An immersion bath once or twice a week works wonders.
- You could also place a dish under the flower pot to catch any excess water. Empty the dish after a half hour. If too much water gets into the outer pot or dish, the roots could die off through lack of oxygen. As with too dry soil, the flowers and leaves will wilt.
- If you forget to give it water, dip the pot under water until the root ball is completely saturated, allow it to drip for a time and then place the plant in a cool spot to enable it to recover. This could take some time.
Temperature
The ideal temperature for the house hydrangea is between 18 and 23 degrees C.
Adding fertiliser
Add plant nutrient every other week, in accordance with the instructions on the package.
